Our story begins with family. 

Our founder, Sophia Mapes, discovered the vibrant flavors of freshly grown jalapeños in her parents' garden. Determined to share culinary delight with loved ones, her candied jalapeños quickly became a hit.

She founded Liv and Julz, a labor of love inspired by her family and named after her two daughters, Olivia and Julia.

Located in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, our business is deeply rooted in the local community. Sophia works at a local foster care agency, where she advocates for children. Her vision to combine her love for cooking with her commitment to supporting local children in need drives our purpose: a portion of all profits will be directed to support local foster care agencies in Lancaster County and the surrounding areas.
